Biopsia de ganglio linfático: indicaciones, tipos, procesamiento e interpretación

RESUMEN
Se revisa la importancia de la colaboración de especialistas de diversas disciplinas y del personal técnico del laboratorio de patología en el procesamiento e interpretación de la biopsia de ganglio linfático. En pacientes, principalmente niños, con adenopatías localizadas o generalizadas, los hallazgos clínicos, radiológicos y de laboratorio pueden ser suficientemente característicos para establecer el diagnóstico clínico. En otras poblaciones, el patólogo quirúrgico o el hematopatólogo será el que determine el diagnóstico con base en el material citológico o histológico pertinente, haya sido o no obtenido y procesado mediante técnicas especializadas.
