Señor editor: El artículo de Rivera y colaboradores presenta recomendaciones para el consumo de bebidas utilizando una clasificación de seis categorías que van desde muy saludable (nivel 1) hasta muy poco saludable (nivel 6). La Secretaría de Salud de México (SSA) ha comenzado utilizar esta publicación para emitir recomendaciones sobre el consumo de bebidas como una estrategia para enfrentar el problema de sobrepeso y obesidad que viene creciendo en México.
