La prevalencia de enfermedades infecciosas, como es el caso de las infecciones de vías respiratorias altas o las enfermedades diarreicas agudas, así como las enfermedades alérgicas, representadas por el asma bronquial. Son casos ejemplares de la respuesta a la interacción entre el medio ambiente y el ser humano.
