¿CÓMO IDENTIFICO AL ENFERMO QUE REQUIERE DE UNA UNIDAD DE CUIDADOS INTENSIVOS?
El ingreso a una unidad de cuidados intensivos lo requieren los enfermos con signos de gravedad que de acuerdo con los criterios de Atlanta son aquellos que presentan insuficiencia orgánica (estado de choque, insuficiencia respiratoria y/o renal), u ocho o más puntos de la clasificación de APACHE-II.
