¿CUÁLES SON LAS CAUSAS Y LOS MECANISMOS FISIOPATOLÓGICOS DE LA DISPEPSIA?

Funcional

Se pueden considerar cuatro grandes causales:

1. Sensibilidad visceral alterada: respuesta anormal del estómago y duodeno a estímulos mecánicos como la distensión, o químicos como el efecto del ácido y los lípidos, que pueden presentarse entre 60-70% de los casos. A estas alteraciones se atribuyen el dolor epigástrico y la náusea, probablemente en relación con un procesamiento anormal de la información en vías aferentes del sistema nervioso central.
