RESUMEN
El mundo y el conocimiento de las enfermedades de herencia mitocondrial son cada vez más completos. Los hallazgos seguirán haciendo que la medicina y la genética se transformen y evolucionen hasta límites insospechados. En esta revisión se analizan los factores mitocondriales relacionados con las sorderas, desde las puras de herencia mitocondrial hasta la ototoxicidad. Esperamos que el compendio ayude a entender este complejo proceso.
