Síndrome de apnea del sueño y afecciones oculares asociadas

RESUMEN
El síndrome de apnea del sueño (SAS) es una entidad caracterizada por hipersomnolencia durante el día, ronquidos y múltiples episodios de apnea o hipopnea durante el sueño. En el presente trabajo se hace una breve revisión de las características principales de esta entidad y su relación con problemas oculares de importancia clínica. El objetivo de comprender la posible relación entre esta entidad y los problemas oculares es tener en cuenta el potencial beneficio que el paciente puede obtener al detectarle y tratarle este padecimiento.
