Tumores malignos cardiacos

RESUMEN
Describimos 3 casos de pacientes, los cuales ingresan con diversas manifestaciones cardiacas que van desde la angina hasta el tamponade cardiaco, secundarias a la presencia de masas tumorales de estirpe maligna en el corazón, donde se destaca el valor de la ecocardiografía transtorácica, en la caracterización de la masa y el compromiso hemodinámico que ésta condicionaba, se sometieron a cirugía cardiovascular con el propósito de intentar la escisión tumoral completa, máxima resección posible, reconstrucción cardiaca y toma de material suficiente para biopsia. No obstante, el carácter infiltrativo, metástasis, agresividad tumoral y recurrencias de la neoplasia, hacen que la mortalidad operatoria (hospitalaria) sea alta, la supervivencia al año baja y los resultados alejados muy desfavorables con contados casos de cirugía curativa. Debido a la baja frecuencia de esta neoplasia y su localización (corazón), es importante el conocimiento del mismo, ya que dicha neoplasia tiene un curso muy desfavorable.
