Colgajo fasciocutáneo frontotemporal en isla para la reconstrucción de subunidades estéticas en la cara

RESUMEN
Los colgajos fasciocutáneos frontotemporales en isla son un excelente recurso para proporcionar piel para reconstruir unidades estéticas en la cara. La calidad de la piel de la frente proporciona una textura y coloración ideal para reconstruir defectos complejos en la cara. Los colgajos fasciocutáneos frontotemporales en isla fueron utilizados en 9 pacientes con defectos en el párpado inferior, para reconstruir la mejilla, para proporcionar cobertura cutánea al labio superior o inferior, para restaurar una columnela y para restablecer el contorno de los defectos en el mentón. Este colgajo está basado en los vasos temporales y su fascia adyacente proporciona excelente drenaje venoso, y la longitud de su pedículo y su arco de rotación permite transportar piel a sitios tan distantes como los labios o el mentón. Estos colgajos fueron utilizados exitosamente en nueve pacientes, en quienes ilustramos las amplias posibilidades para la reconstrucción de unidades estéticas en la cara.
