RESUMEN

A controlled trial was followed using 3 groups with 6 dogs each naturally infected with Dipylidium caninum. Group 1 was used as the control. Group 2 was treated with 3 doses of 15 mg/kg albendazole every 12 hours for a total of 45 mg/kg. Group 3 was treated with 3 doses of 30 mg/kg every 12 hours for a total of 90 mg/kg. Efficacy results were 72.7% for Group 2, and 90.9% for Group 3.
