RESUMEN
La lipomatosis simétrica múltiple (LSM) es una enfermedad poco frecuente, de etiología no definida, que se caracteriza por múltiples depósitos de tejido adiposo localizado de forma simétrica en regiones proximales de las extremidades. Se asocia con frecuencia a alcoholismo y polineuropatía.
