MODELOS DE SINCRONIZACIÓN A LA LUZ
La sincronización del reloj biológico a un ciclo L:O provoca que el periodo endógeno del reloj biológico se ajuste al periodo de este ciclo con una relación de fase estable entre el ciclo de iluminación y el ritmo biológico. ¿Pero que aspecto del ciclo es responsable de sincronizar los ritmos biológicos en la naturaleza? ¿Acaso es la transición amanecer-anochecer, el incremento-decremento de la intensidad de la luz durante la fase de iluminación, los cambios en la calidad espectral (color) de la luz, la presencia continua de luz durante la fase de iluminación o algún otro factor? (28).
