Sistemas de evaluación de destreza en cirugía endoscópica

RESUMEN
Introducción: El entrenamiento en cirugía requiere de una evaluación objetiva válida y confiable. Para cirugía endoscópica se han desarrollado sistemas que ayudan a evaluar la destreza que se adquiere con la práctica, así como la proeficiencia y la competencia de cirujanos y sujetos en entrenamiento.
Objetivo: Realizar una revisión sistemática de la literatura, recopilando los artículos que contengan sistemas de evaluación de destreza en cirugía endoscópica, su análisis y sus métodos de validación y consistencia.
Método: Búsqueda en Medline de 1991 a diciembre de 2005 y análisis de los artículos aleatorizados y controlados.
Resultados: 1,117 resultados se obtuvieron, de ellos se recopilaron 89 disponibles y 58 cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión; 52 se usaron para la revisión. Incluyen a 18 diferentes sistemas de evaluación que se describen.
Conclusiones: Los sistemas de evaluación de destreza en cirugía endoscópica son una herramienta necesaria durante el entrenamiento y en la práctica clínica.
