Pseudotumor inflamatorio asociado a cirrosis hepática

RESUMEN

Objetivo: Describir el caso de un paciente diagnosticado como portador de un tumor hepático, interpretado como hepatocarcinoma.
Sede: Hospital de tercer nivel de atención.
Diseño: Reporte de un caso clínico.
Descripción del caso: Paciente masculino de 58 años de edad, con diagnóstico previo de cirrosis hepática criptogénica, a quien se le había diagnosticado carcinoma hepatocelular, se intervino quirúrgicamente realizando segmentectomía. El estudio histopatológico reportó pseudotumor inflamatorio hepático. El paciente al momento se encuentra asintomático.
Conclusión: El pseudotumor inflamatorio hepático es una lesión benigna de etiología desconocida, poco frecuente, resecable quirúrgicamente, de excelente pronóstico y siempre debe tomarse en cuenta al evaluar lesiones ocupativas del hígado.
