FRAGMENTO
La evaluación prequirúrgica del paciente oncológico sigue las mismas directrices que la población quirúrgica en general. Sin embargo, sabemos que la fisiología del paciente oncológico se altera a consecuencia del cáncer, del tratamiento antineoplásico o por los dos factores. Nos referiremos a las alteraciones en los sistemas orgánicos principales, por su frecuencia de afección, así como la importancia de estos sistemas en el período transoperatorio. No se debe dejar pasar por alto la noción de que toda la economía se afecta en menor o mayor grado y que los efectos de los quimioterápicos también son muy amplios, haciendo aquí mención solamente de algunos de ellos.
