RESUMEN
La otitis media con efusión (OME) es una enfermedad caracterizada por la colección
de líquido en el oído medio, sin síntomas o signos de infección aguda. El síntoma
principal es el compromiso en la audición. El diagnóstico se basa en la sospecha clínica,
un examen físico con neumatoscopia y el resultado de una adecuada audiometría y
timpanometría en caso de ser necesario.
