Guía para el diagnóstico y el tratamiento de hipoacusia neurosensorial súbita idiopática (sordera súbita)

RESUMEN
La definición específica es una hipoacusia neurosensorial unilateral o bilateral mayor a 30 dB que afecta, por lo menos, a tres frecuencias audiométricas consecutivas y se desarrolla en un período menor o igual a 72 horas, la mayoría idiopática. afecta de 5 a 27 por 100.000 personas al año. Las causas de hipoacusia neurosensorial súbita
están clasificadas entre primarias y secundarias. El tratamiento incluye corticoides sistémicos y tópicos, agentes antivirales, terapia con oxígeno hiperbárico, agentes vasodilatadores, diuréticos y otras medicamentos como tratamiento alternativos complementarios.
