Obesidad. Un problema de salud que requiere una interpretación y solución multisectorial

RESUMEN
La obesidad constituye un desafío de salud global que demanda una estrategia multisectorial
para su atención. Se origina por interacciones genéticas, ambientales y
conductuales. Los factores socioeconómicos y culturales influyen en su prevalencia
y en las consecuencias asociadas. Su prevención y tratamiento efectivos requieren
enfoques que integren un estilo de vida, un ambiente y un perfil de políticas públicas
específicos. La colaboración entre los sectores de la salud, educación, deporte, economía
y la políticas es esencial. Un entendimiento holístico y acciones coordinadas
son cruciales para mitigar esta epidemia y mejorar la salud poblacional.
