Procedimiento de Wheat, una alternativa a la técnica de Bentall

RESUMEN
La estenosis valvular aórtica puede coexistir con aneurisma
de aorta ascendente. Sin tratamiento evolucionará
con disección/rotura. La cirugía de Bentall es la más utilizada,
con alta complejidad y morbilidad-mortalidad.
El procedimiento de Wheat, una alternativa segura y resultados
similares a largo plazo, consiste en sustitución
valvular y reemplazo por separado de la aorta ascendente
con injerto sintético. Presentamos un caso con estenosis
aórtica grave y aneurisma de aorta corregida con
procedimiento de Wheat con recuperación satisfactoria.
