RESUMEN
La ecocardiografía tridimensional (Eco3D) ha tenido un gran desarrollo en los últimos años. Su aplicación se ha extendido a todos los grupos de cardiopatías desde las congénitas hasta las degenerativas. En poco tiempo puede convertirse en auxiliar diagnóstico en el trabajo cotidiano del cardiólogo. La Eco3D representa el equivalente a la anatomía patológica macroscópica no invasiva.
