Estudio comparativo de técnicas digitales de reducción de ruido para su posible uso en auxiliares auditivos

RESUMEN
Se presenta un estudio comparativo de cuatro técnicas de procesamiento digital de señales que se enfocan a solventar el problema del ruido ambiental en auxiliares auditivos, con el objetivo de restaurar en el mayor grado posible la percepción del lenguaje oral. Las técnicas evaluadas fueron el filtro adaptable RACE, la sustracción espectral, la reducción de ruido por descomposición en valores singulares y el análisis de componentes independientes. Se efectuó la comparación calculando la mejoría de la relación señal a ruido en diferentes entornos y aplicando pruebas de significancia estadística sobre los resultados. La técnica que obtuvo mejor desempeño fue el análisis de componentes independientes, cuyos resultados en entorno de simulación muestran que es posible realzar señales de voz, aun cuando su nivel de energía se encuentre 15dB por debajo del nivel del ruido ambiental.
