Complicaciones y comorbilidades más frecuentes en la anemia drepanocítica

RESUMEN
Introducción:
La anemia drepanocítica es una enfermedad pleiotrópica sistémica. Con su padecimiento, casi todos los órganos se afectan. Las formas de presentación de esta enfermedad varían entre los pacientes.
Objetivo:
Describir las características principales de las complicaciones y comorbilidades más frecuentes en la anemia drepanocítica.
Método:
Se realizó una revisión de la literatura, de artículos publicados en los últimos 10 años sobre complicaciones y comorbilidades más frecuentes en la anemia drepanocítica.
Conclusión:
El conocimiento y diferenciación de las complicaciones y comorbilidades en la anemia drepanocítica permite administrar las terapias adecuadas.
