FRAGMENTO
La atención obstétrica, en el contexto de la COVID-19, debe sustentarse en las mejores prácticas clínicas y la evidencia científica disponible más reciente; por lo tanto, los procedimientos propuestos deben fundamentarse en la investigación clínica, con la finalidad de establecer políticas y prácticas que reduzcan el riesgo de contagio y la propagación de la enfermedad.1 La actualización de estos procedimientos está dirigida a profesionales de la salud, quienes deberán aplicar su criterio médico porque, como tales, no son lineamentos de carácter obligatorio y deben adaptarse al contexto de los distintos centros hospitalarios de México y otros países donde se utilice.
