Trombectomía mecánica de arteria cerebral media: reporte de caso

RESUMEN
La enfermedad cerebrovascular es una causa frecuente de muerte e incapacidad importante en los pacientes que sobreviven. La terapia actualmente indicada en evento cerebrovascular isquémico es el uso de trombolísis endovenoso con activador tisular del plasminógeno recombinante (r-tPA). No obstante, en algunos casos su uso es inefectivo y es necesaria la utilización de trombectomía mecánica mediante dispositivos endovasculares desarrollados para tal efecto. Se presenta caso de evento cerebrovascular en el cual la revascularización del territorio de la arteria cerebral media izquierda se le realizó trombectomía mecánica con éxito.
