Azilsartán, el inhibidor más afín y fiel al receptor AT1 de angiotensina II. Revisión de la bibliografía y reporte de la experiencia con azilsartán y azilsartán-clortalidona en un centro de cardiología preventiva

RESUMEN
Este artículo tiene como propósito resumir la evidencia de una excelente opción terapéutica
para el control de la hipertensión arterial, se hace una revisión de la estructura,
los efectos in vitro y los efectos experimentales de azilsartán (AZL). Esta información
proporciona el soporte básico para explicar los excelentes resultados clínicos de
azilsartán y azilsartán más clortalidona (AZL-CLD) tanto en la fase III experimental
aquí revisada, como en la vida real en nuestro Centro, del que se reporta en forma
descriptiva la experiencia con azilsartán y AZL-CLD.
