ABSTRACT
Microneedle dermabrasion or microdermabrasion, is a process that allows the formation of thousands of microscopic
channels through the epidermis, in order to stimulate the formation of new collagen or to allow the use of different
therapeutic materials that can be administered through these micro-channels. Microdermabrasion has been used
in various skin diseases as various kinds of scars including scars caused by acne; and also in other conditions such
as striae, melasma, pigmented lesions, rosacea, alopecia and photoaging.
