Ascitis quilosa como manifestación inicial de cáncer de colon

RESUMEN
La ascitis quilosa es una manifestación poco común
de múltiples enfermedades. La mayoría de los casos
es secundaria a traumatismo directo de los vasos linfáticos
peritoneales; sin embargo, cuando no es así,
existen pocas causas atraumáticas
per se, como las
neoplásicas, de las cuales son esporádicos los casos
en los que la neoplasia no es de origen linfático.
Comunicamos el caso de una paciente en quien el
proceso diagnóstico de un adenocarcinoma de colon
surgió de la ascitis quilosa como manifestación inicial.
